Hey guys,
Long time fan here (been listening since Episode 1, although I fall off whenever I fall of from playing Yugioh, so my apologies for that). I built a super weird deck that combines Heroes and Elder Gods, and after playtesting it through about 20 games (on YGOPro which is NOW ON iOS THANK GOD), I think I’ve tweaked the ratios to a near-perfect point. It’s pretty effective. I was wondering if you guys would take a look at it, because I’ve always admired your creation of super weird decks.
This deck combines Korea’s “God” archetype and the Elemental Heros to a shocking success. Once the deck gets rolling (basically once you bring out Cthugha and Noden together), it becomes unstoppable. Most awaited card is Outer God Azathoth to be able to summon a beater with Trapezohedron rather than Nyarla, who’s kind of disappointing.
14 Monsters
2 Armageddon Knight
1 E-Hero Blazeman
3 E-Hero Shadow Mist
2 E-Hero Bubbleman
2 Summoner Monk
3 Junk Synchron
1 Dark Bug
17 Spells
2 E Emergency Call
3 Instant Fusion
2 Polymerization
3 Reinforcements of the Army (I was running a copy of Fifth Hope instead of the 3rd ROTA, but Fifth Hope seemed like a win-more and I decided I could use the extra access to Arma/Junk/Blaze)
2 Miracle Synchro Fusion
2 Miracle Fusion
2 The Taboo Trapezohedron
1 Soul Charge
1 Foolish Burial (never once drawn this in 20 games….)
8 Traps
1 Bottomless
2 Pinpoint Guard
1 Torrential
3 CotH
1 Solemn Warning
Extra (the tightest Extra I have EVER had to squeeze into)
1 E-Hero Nova Master
1 E-Hero Ab0
3 Elder God Noden
1 Moonlight Rose Dragon (will probably cut for Azathoth)
2 Great Old One Cthugha
1 Bujinki Amaterasu (MVP for a post-MSF play… bring back your second Cthugha and draw for days)
1 Utopia
1 Silent Honors
1 Heroic Champion Excalibur (another one that I’ll probably cut because I’ve never gone into it, but I love knowing it’s there)
1 Castel
1 Lavalval Chain
1 Nyarla
Between Soul Charge, Pinpoint, Call, and Instant Fusion/Noden, this deck has tremendous ability to re-use its advantage gainers (Blazeman, Shadow Mist, and Cthugha) to gain on each Xyz Summon. Plus people just have no idea what to do against this deck to the point of ridiculousness.
Also, what do you guys think about the new Symphonic Warrior cards? I’ve already built a new deck (strongly resembles the old Lightsworn Synchro) that’s just waiting for them to hit YGOPro….. Super excited about it.
