Their are sinister forces at work. They seek to rob the world of life and freedom, with their spoils, they call upon twisted-powerful forces. The masters of the sacrificial arts, the Gishkis, have arrived.

This is the baseline I’ve been trying out, seeing what performs well, etc. There isn’t a focus on Xyz or Synchro yet because, while I would rather focus on Xyz summoning, my game (Tag Force 5) does not have any Xyz monsters.
3 Evigishki Mind Augus
2 Evigishki Soul Ogre
3 Gishki Shadow
2 Gishki Abyss
2 Gishki Ariel
1 EHERO Stratos
1 EHERO Bubbleman
2 DHERO Dasher
2 DHERO Malicious
2 Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
3 Gishki Ceremonial Mirror
2 Pot of Duality
2 Salvage
2 Preparation of Rights
2 Miracle Fusion
2 Destiny Draw
1 E – Emergency Call
1 Monster Reborn
1 Moray of Greed
1 Pot of Avarice
3 Fiendish Chain
I wanted there to be something to do, or something to top-deck if the rituals were not working out. The heroes provide that, plus some extra draw power.
Dashers and Malicious are both level 6, great for Mind Augus. Dasher’s ability can be used to special summon Gishki Abyss, in turn, getting you good stuff and saving your normal summon. I have modified this build a lot since I first created it, I’m trying out more focus on Gishki Abyss than on Gishki Marker. If I had access to Xyz, it might be different.
Since I do plan to see this deck Xyz, the Stratos + Bubble man combo works because this deck is heavy on spells, so lots of setting action is there.
The PoD are there for the turns where siting behind one of the rituals is a good option. It was more useful when I was still running Umiriki, as was Gishki Marker, but those are not in here right now.
PoA isn’t that useful, considering the ideal state of my graveyard is near empty. It’s there to make sure it we can function without it. As in, I doubt I will be able to use it.

I really like gishkis and their boss card Gustkrake, really wish you guys talk a little bit more about them once HD6 is released and the rest of the main deck is released. great podcast.
Very interesting cast guys. It inspired me to revamp my gishki deck with D-Heros. But I’d like to give my own tech card advice which I believe you forgot to mention.
Genex Ally Birdman. He’s a great card and combos so well with almost every card in the deck, but specifically gishki beast. Here are some awesome plays I think everyone should consider;
1. Revive Ariel with Beast, bounce Beast for Birdman, synchro for Arcanite Magician.
2. Revive Anything(most likely a Shadow) with Beast, bounce X, Synchro for Zeman the Ape King
Or Gungir dragon of the ice barrier, black rose or scrap archfiend.
All the best level seven synchros unleashed with just one monster, you’d be a fool not to consider it. Think about the possibilities.
P.S.
Anyone else think evigishki soul ogre looks like Jar Jar Binks on crack?
If you’re tributing Vision or Shadow for a Ritual monster, you’re playing Gishkis wrong. The whole point of Gishkis is to tribute a Ritual Monster to summon another Ritual monster and then instantly bring the Ritual back to your hand with Mirror. It’s how you Gustkrake loop: all you need is a Shadow to bring another Mirror to your hand.
I agree, didn´t want to nitpick, but the whole combo with salvage is not to just get back shadow and vision but to tribute ritual for ritual and have ur +1 already in the grave. This also combos really good with moray of greed since it isn´t just a mulligan but actual +1s.
i already have a gishki deck, but i also run heros in it so i spam zeal and absolute zero like no one’s business.
hey guys, how come i didnt hear anything about hieratic gishkis?
There were a lot of Gishki-related topics that deserved a little attention. I’m working on a Gishki series of articles that has examples of the different types of Gishki decks, plays, etc.
They’ll be out every Wednesday and Friday starting next week if you’re interested!
