Matt and Kyle discuss the Gemini monster-type and its support. If you’d like to get right to the content, the opening chat runs long at about 40 minutes, with the Gemini topic following right after.
Let’s just take a second to talk about how crazy Depth Sphere and Mermail – Abysslinde are together. I made a Mermail deck on DN recently, and it’s so good it’s ridiculous. Combining them with the Atlanteans is basically a match made in heaven.
That combo is okay, but none of the Mermail monsters are really game breaking so it’s a pretty mellow combo. In the end it’s only going to be a 1 for 1 every time. I still really like Abysssphere though because I really like traps of this nature. (ex. Reinforce Truth)
On the other side though, the Atlanteans pretty much make Mermail monsters good since they have so many discarding costs. But then again in the end all you’re really getting are some weenies and a lot of field control, which is basically a worse version of Inzektors since when they destroy they don’t swarm.
True, but then in the end you go Depth Squall and summon something ridiculous, either of the monsters’ own accord or with Lemuria. I just think it’s really fun to summon a 2400 beater straight out of the deck with one trap card.
Dem Depth cards are sweet…
Depth squall into that 2400 shark…
Get a walking Skill Drain/Gravity Bind.
So, how do you guys feel about the Dolkka/Excalibur Tins. The other cards in them were all leaked because someone took a picture of the back of them somewhere. The Dolkka one has:
Genex Neutron, Scrap Dragon, Dark Highlander, and Zenmaines
The Excalibur one has:
Blizzard Princess, Laggia, Wind-Up Rabbit, and Zenmaines
Oh, and they showed a Hanzo tin and a Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis (phew) tin at Comic-Con, but we have no idea what else is in them.
Finally, this Photon Duelist Pack is going to break Photons so hard. Dat Galaxy archetype….
I’ve been waiting for these cards for a long time. 🙂
So was there ever an “Archfiend” episode or is it still in the works? If you guys weren’t able to get around to it, that’s fine; like you said on the cast: the summer is hard to get stuff done. But that just makes each new episode that much more enjoyable to listen to. XD
I honestly have no clue what’s going on with that… we recorded it like a week ago so I don’t know what’s up with Matt. (he edits and uploads the podcasts)
Good to know… at least the podcast is somewhere in the world….. lol. Hope it comes up soon tho. Thx for the info.
