Heiratic Dragunity Shenanigans Part 1

Photobucket Like I said, here I am this week with a little bit about an advancement currently being made in the Dragunity archetype using a couple new tricks lended to us by the Heiratic archetype. As you may have noticed the title says “Part 1” meaning that I wont cover everything in just this one article. Today I’m just going to lay down the basics: the cards that pull off these new combos and the combo basics. With that let’s get started.

“Alive HERO”

Today is a far more direct article tan normal, I’ll just be responding to LegendaryChevralier’s comment on the recent Dragon Podcast:

Also can you give me some more infomation on that “alive hero” deck you were talking about? It seems really interesting and surprisingly similar to what I’ve been contemplating.

I’ll just be giving a little insight into the deck from my perspective as well as a pretty standard (as far as I know) decklist for the deck in Japan at the time being.

New Ideas: Lightray Sorcerer

Photobucket

As I’ve said on the podcast I’ve been trying to make a lot of ideas to effectively use the Lightray monsters. I haven’t really found any success in most of the ones requiring a lot of Light monsters in the grave so I’ve decided to move on to Lightray Sorcerer. If you don’t already know about ‘im he’s pretty much a the same as Chaos Sorcerer just a little different. Pretty much all you need to make it work is 3 Banish Light monsters. Luckily, it’s not like Dark Armed Dragon requiring an exact amount of monsters, so anything above 3 will also be fine. Today is my first look at some ideas with the card, I’ve got some more but I figured this article would be huge if I said all of them, so i’ll probably be cutting this one into 2 parts.

Card Review: D.D. Crow

Photobucket
I just keep looking at this card and thinking this works against everything right now. I feel like everyone has some weird secret pact to never use this card because it stops cards like Pot of Avarice, which everyone always fears in the back of their mind when they play it. But oh well, I decided to take a closer look at this card, weigh its pros and cons against each deck to see how good it would turn out.

Gladiator Beasts and XYZ

Photobucket
This idea may not be new but I don’t think all that many people know about it. Basically, you’d think Gladiator Beasts have been getting old and rusty when in actuality they been gaining lots of support here and there through XYZ monsters. With Gladiator Beasts being severely underplayed and on top of that most people not even knowing how to play well with them it makes sense that most of the ideas that have been engineered wouldn’t be known. Today I will be briefly talking about 1 of these new ideas and it’s XYZ summoning some neat Rank 3’s using Gladiator Beasts.

Random Ideas: Fun HERO Ideas

Photobucket
Now that Call of the Haunted is at 3 I’ve been making up some random ideas for a deck that could possibly utilize 3 copies. (not counting Inzectors ’cause that deck isn’t that fun) One of the more fun ideas was a HERO build were I essentially try to make massive advantage using cards like Salvage, Fusion Recovery and Call of the Haunted in order to make quick and easy Fusion Summons and XYZ Summons. Bear in mind these are only theory and could as well flop in real life.

Card Review: Divine Dragon Apocralyph

Photobucket Hey look, it’s another card review! Today I’m going to be looking at a new an wonderful addition to Dragon decks: Divine Dragon Apocralyph.  Essentially, a more versatile version of Genesis Dragon, Apocralyph brings a lot of versatility and consistency to Dragon decks today and has very easily made himself what I would consider to be a staple in all current Dragon decks.
