Mind Crush

Beating the Meta: Mind Crush

photo MindCrush_zpsb6f6907d.png Hello again everybody, whomever you may be! Today I’ve got another card review for a card I feel is a powerhouse of sorts for the side deck in the current format: Mind Crush. I’ve been thinking about this card a lot lately and its applications and I’ve decided that I like it a lot. You’ll see why.

Chaos HEROs

Deck Profile: Chaos HEROs

Photobucket(Sorry for not getting this up on Monday! I had school in the morning and went directly to work from there, I completely forgot to put up my article) I didn’t have anything in particular to post so I figured I’d do another deck profile. This is pretty much the deck I’ve been working on the majority of my time: Chaos HEROs. It’s loosely based on an OCG build using Chaos in HEROs with a lot of variation I’ve brought to make the deck as full of options as possible at all times. It exchanges the defensive nature of HERO beat for consistent OTK and control plays.

Deck Profile: Ninjas

PhotobucketThere’s a lot of down time in Yugioh at the moment, no YCS’s no new things coming out until next year really. That to say I don’t have a whole lot to talk about this week. In lieu of that I bring you an update on a Ninja deck I’ve been working on. It’s not Chaos Dragon Ninjas, it’s not Dino Ninjas, it’s Ninja Ninjas! I’ll also take this opportunity to talk about some really cool cards that I’ve been testing in the deck in a similar fashion that I would if I where to give the individual card a “card review” spotlight.

Different Decks in the New Format

The new format has pretty much been defined, at least until Cosmo Blazer. (although I think it’ll barely make any impact) We’ve got Wind-Ups, Genex Atlantean Mermails (GAM), Agents, and Macro Rabbit running the show. To a lesser extent we’ve got some decks you’ll likely be seeing like Gadgets, Inzektors, Dark Worlds, Prophecy, Six Samurai and Chaos Dragons. Just for fun though I thought we could look into some possibilities of other decks that could be strong in the current meta and why.

Deck Profile: Chaos Mash

Photobucket Pretty busy week, just started school and I’m gearing up to go to the Philippines for 2 weeks at the beginning of October (so I wont be on the podcast then) so I’ve been a little busy. I figured then I’d just do something simple and give you a deck profile of a deck that I’ve been having a lot of fun with recently, which is my Monster Mash deck. For those who don’t know, Monster Mash is a deck variant that’s all monster cards to facilitate the use of two specific cards: Gallis the Star Beast and Witch of the Black Rose. I don’t run Witch though, because I think that card sucks. I’ll explain that later. The variant I’m running is rather original, I’m not focusing on the Gallis OTK nearly at all and I run some obscure tech choices and based the deck around one of my favorite cards: Genex Ally Triforce.
