Hello and welcome to the first edition of the Yugioh Investment Portfolio (henceforth abbreviated YIP). The purpose of these articles are to give some insight into the ebb and flow of Yugioh card prices, and help you get information on popular cards, archetypes, and packs so you know the right time to buy and unload key cards. If there’s one thing you need to take away from these articles it’s this: timing is everything.

Pretty much everyone is complaining about the new format and how Maxx “C” and Effect Veiler are completely necessary, but that’s not true. The only legitimate reason people feel they are necessary is because being looped by Wind-Ups will cost you the game if you’re not running them, but that once again is untrue. People for some reason are unwilling to build decks that can bounce back from situations such as this, and the most basic way to do this is to build a deck that can effectively maintain advantage with low hand counts as well as top-deck good cards consistently.

Hello everyone! Gonna be a short article today, been busy most of the week so didn’t have much time to think of something so I’ll take a small look into a card. With the recent unlimiting of Call of the Haunted I felt it fitting to talk about the card a little more in depth. I’ll just be going over three particular ways that Call of the Haunted can be used so that you can further understand the uses of one Yugioh’s most powerful trap cards. The uses I’ll talk about today will all revolve a much more unorthodox use of the card, I hope you enjoy it.

Since the beginning of February, we duelists have been bombarded by fake list after fake list. Each, somehow, increasing in credibility but ultimately being outed as a Photoshop mockery – Japan gets first dibbs on the list through their monthly V-Jump  magazine – or a blatant impossibility.

Many of us saw the “fake” (but actually legit) banned list that was posted on Shriek. Even though Shriek is one of the most reliable sources we have for early info, not even they could escape the chaos. The discussion that followed in the comments was pretty wild.

Card Review: Eclipse Wyvern

‘Sup everyone? Today I’ve got a couple of new ideas brewing in my mind and I thought I’d share them. I recently picked up 3 of the new Dragon’s Collide Structure Deck and was playing around with some of the new cards and the one that seemed most interesting to me was Eclipse Wyvern. Seemingly the most overlooked of the new cards with a very vague effect that has no exact purpose I wanted to figure how to use it as good as I possibly could. I played around with some decks and then let it stew over some long days of work and I came up with some really fun ideas.
